Meharry Offering Free Dental Service Saturday, March 10
First-come first-serve free dental care will be available at Meharry Medical College Saturday.

NASHVILLE, TN -- First-come, first-served free dental care will be available at Meharry Medical College Saturday as part of its annual Oral Health Day event. The event is sponsored by the Meharry Chapter of the American Student Dental Association.
Patients must be 18 years old to receive treatment. No insurance or ID is required. Patient registration and check-in is at Henry A. Moses, Ph.D. Alumni Hall on the Meharry campus beginning at 7 a.m.
Today, only 64 percent of adults aged 18 to 64 visit a dentist annually.

Currently, 41 percent of black dentists nationwide are Meharry graduates. More than 83 percent of its dental graduates practice in underserved areas and nearly 18 percent practice in Tennessee.
