Flu vaccine offers the best protection against influenza. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention officials say it is not too early to get a flu shot. According to the CDC, everyone six months of age and older should get a flu vaccine each year. The Metro Public Health Department will not offer the “nasal spray” flu vaccine this year following the CDC’s announcement that the nasal spray vaccine should not be used during the 2017-2018 flu season.
