"On its heels will be an open upper level wave which will push across the (area) on Tuesday afternoon. At that time, rain showers will again be likely and will continue into Tuesday night. Freezing levels will drop sufficiently for some snowfall late Tuesday (night) across northern Middle Tennessee. Will therefore include a transition from rain to a rain and snow mix," forecasters said in Sunday's discussion.
