Nashville Area Weather Forecast: March's Mixed Bag

Strong storms, a chance of snow and moderating temperatures are all in the mix across the Midstate this week.

NASHVILLE, TN -- Severe storms are likely Monday followed by a slight chance of snow Tuesday, according to the National Weather Service forecast for Nashville. Highs in the 50s are expected with the mid-week dry-out with temperatures back in the mid to upper 60s for the weekend.

Monday: Showers and severe storms, mainly after 1 p.m., high of 66. Showers overnight, mainly before 1 a.m., then cloudy, low of 44.

Tuesday: A 50 percent chance of showers, otherwise cloudy, high of 51. A 20 percent chance of showers overnight, possibly mixing with snow, otherwise cloudy, low of 34.

Wednesday: Sunny, high of 52. Mostly clear after sundown, low of 33.

Thursday: Sunny, high of 55. Partly cloudy in the evening with a 30 percent chance of showers, low of 37.

Friday: Partly sunny and a bit warmer warmer, with a 30 percent chance of showers, high of 60. A 40 percent chance of showers and storms overnight, low of 53.
