Nashville Area Weather Forecast: A Rainy Start As Irma Pushes In

Hurricane Irma's remnants will bring persistent rains to Middle Tennessee through midweek before things dry out and warm up.

NASHVILLE, TN — Hurricane Irma's remnants will bring rain and some cooler temperatures for much of the first half of the week, according to the National Weather Service forecast for Nashville. Things begin to dry out and warm up by Thursday into the weekend. Monday: A 30 percent chance of showers after 1 p.m. with increasing cloudiness, high of 71. Winds of 5 to 10 mph will increase to 15 to 20 mph with gusts up to 30. A 90 percent chance of showers overnight, particularly, low of 60. Winds of 20 to 25 mph could gust to 40.

Tuesday: A 70 percent of showers, a high of 68. Winds of 10 to 20 mph gusting to 30 mph. A 50 percent chance of showers after sundown, otherwise cloudy, low of 60.

Wednesday: A 60 percent chance of showers, otherwise cloudy, high of 67. A 50 percent chance of showers in the evening, low of 60.

Thursday: Mostly cloudy with a 30 percent chance of showers and a bit warmer, high of 75. Partly cloudy after sundown, low of 60.

Friday: Mostly sunny and even warmer, high of 81. Partly cloudy overnight, low of 62.
