NASHVILLE, TN -- Some employees at Cigna HealthSprings MetroCenter offices were evacuated Tuesday afternoon after the company received an envelope marked "cyanide."
The employee who opened the envelope did discover what a company spokesperson called a "suspicious substance," but authorities determined there was no exposure. A preliminary investigation determined the substance was "a commercially available product."
“We are fully cooperating with the investigation of the envelope and its origin, and the safety of our colleagues continues to be our top priority,” a statement from the company said.
