Nashville Finalist To Host Women's Final Four

The NCAA said Nashville is one of eight cities being considered to host the women's basketball Final Four between 2021 and 2024.

NASHVILLE, TN -- Bridgestone Arena is in the running to host the Women's Basketball Final Four for the second time, the NCAA announced Thursday.

The NCAA named eight cities as potential hosts for the event for the years 2021 through 2024. Nashville held the Women's Final Four in 2014 with the Brentwood-based Ohio Valley Conference serving as official host.

Cleveland, Dallas, Houston, Indianapolis, Kansas City, Mo., Minneapolis and San Antonio are the other finalists. All except Houston have hosted in the past.

The eight finalist cities must submit final bids by April 27 with the NCAA selection committee making sites visits this summer. Each city will make a presentation for members of the committee in September and the NCAA will announced the sites in early October.
