Nashville Hot Dog Vendor Sexually Assaulted: Police

A 27-year-old man allegedly sexually assaulted a hot dog vendor near Municipal Auditorium Tuesday.

NASHVILLE, TN -- A 27-year-old man is accused of sexually assaulting a hot dog vendor in downtown Nashville Tuesday.

According to Metro Police, Kevin Barr approached the woman while she was selling hot dogs outside of Municipal Auditorium near Music City Central. Barr reportedly caressed the woman's hair, moved his hands down her body and then attempted to kiss her. The woman told police Barr then grabbed her vaginal area twice and though she asked him to stop, he did not.

Metropolitan Transit Authority security broke up the pair and Barr allegedly said he "shouldn't have done that."

Police say Barr appeared to be intoxicated.

He is charged with sexual battery and public intoxication.
