Nashville Man Attacked Girlfriend With Butcher Knife: Police
It took a woman a month to come forward, but her boyfriend is now charged with attempted murder following an alleged knife attack.
NASHVILLE, TN — More than a month after she was attacked, a woman came forward to say her boyfriend slashed her with a butcher knife and he's now charged with attempted murder.
The woman told police she was sleeping in the apartment she shared with Jesus Valenzuela September 23 when he woke her up and said he was going to kill her.
According to Valenzuela's arrest affidavit, he began to stab the woman with a butcher knife and she covered herself with her right arm.

Detectives said the woman provided pictures of her injuries showing cuts to the right side of her face, the top of her forehead and her right arm.
Valenzuela is jailed on a $100,000 bond.
