Nashville Rescue Mission Needs Help With Summer Supplies
With sky-high early summer temperatures, the Nashville Rescue Mission needs bottled water and other summertime essentials.

NASHVILLE, TN -- With soaring temperatures and swampy humidity, the Nashville Rescue Mission is serving an ever-larger number of people who are homeless, even though summer has yet to officially begin.
Water is a near constant need, as the mission's Hot Patrols deploy any time the temperature tops 92 degrees. With May's early heat wave, the mission's bottled water inventory was already taxed before Memorial Day and with a couple of high-heat months still to come, water remains a critical need.

In addition, the often dangerous heat drew more people to the mission in the last few weeks, which drained the supplies of necessities like toiletries.
The mission has a list on its web site of its current needs and an Amazon wish list.
