Nashville School Locked Down After Nearby Shooting Tuesday

Robert Churchwell Museum Magnet went into lockdown Tuesday afternoon following a nearby shooting.

NASHVILLE, TN — A Nashville elementary school was locked down Tuesday while Metro Police investigated a nearby shooting.

On Tuesday afternoon, a witness reported a man dressed in black near the front of Robert Churchwell Museum Magnet Elementary. The witness said the man fired a gun three times and then chased a woman into a neighboring home.

As per procedure, the school was locked down.
