North Nashville Bank Robbed By Dress-Wearing Man...Again

For the second time in six months, the D.B. Todd SunTrust branch was robbed by a dress-wearing man.

NASHVILLE, TN --A bank robbery by a man wearing a dress is unusual enough. For it to happen to the same bank twice in six months is bizarre.

Metro Police say the dress-wearing man walked into the SunTrust Bank on Dr. D.B. Todd Blvd. at 4:45 p.m. Friday and handed the teller a robbery demand note, but fled before the teller could comply.

A similar - though successful - stick-up occurred at the same branch in September, when a man wearing a dress walked into the bank at 4:15 on a Friday afternoon and fled on foot. In that case, police found a wig, scarf and dress in a nearby alley.
