Officer Injured, 8 Arrested In Nashville Bus Station Brawl

Three adults and five teens were arrested after a fight at Music City Central in which a Metro Police officer was hurt.

NASHVILLE, TN — Three adults and five teenage juveniles were arrested Tuesday after a fight at the Music City Central bus terminal in downtown Nashville that left an intervening police officer injured.

Metro Nashville Police said a "large fight" — involving as many as 20 teens — broke out at the downtown bus station around 3:30 Tuesday afternoon. Officers tried to break it up but the group fought back.

During the fracas, according to investigators, 18-year-old Patricia Hill struck Officer Joshua Reece in the face and continued to struggle with him thereafter. Reece was taken to the hospital, treated for eye and knee injuries and released.

Hill is charged with assault, resisting arrest and disorderly conduct. Kevin Haynes, 18, and James Scales, Jr., 24, are charged with disorderly conduct.

Five juveniles, three males and two females all between the ages of 15 and 17, were arrested on disorderly conduct, resisting arrest and criminal trespassing.
