Online Sale Goes Sideways, Ends In Shooting
A purported seller tried to rob a would-be buyer and got shot for his trouble, according to Nashville police.

NASHVILLE, TN — An online sale ended in gunfire outside a West Nashville Kroger after the supposed seller tried to rob the buyer, according to Metro Police.
Two people arranged to meet at the Kroger near the intersection of Charlotte and White Bridge Thursday evening after setting up an online sale of a car. But, according to police, the sale was a trap and the person selling the car pulled a gun and tried to rob the would-be buyer.
But the buyer also had a gun and fired shots.

The seller ran across the parking lot and collapsed near the store's entrance. The seller was taken to Vanderbilt University Medical Center and is in critical condition.
A spokesperson for Kroger said the actual shooting happened off its property and ran towards the grocery story for help.

There may have been multiple people with both the buyer and the seller, police said. No arrests have been made.
