Seattle Man Forgets 44 Pounds Of Pot At Nashville Airport: Police

Holiday travel is hectic and some things are bound to be overlooked, like dozens of pounds of marijuana.

NASHVILLE, TN -- Holiday travel is a stressful situation and things are bound to be forgotten, which only makes things more stressful. Seattle's George Nellans, for example, forgot to pick up his luggage after flying into Nashville International late Tuesday, which meant a trip back to the airport Wednesday afternoon.

Forgive Nellans if he seemed a little tense what with the airport traffic the day before Thanksgiving and the 44 pounds of marijuana he allegedly had in the luggage he forgot to grab after his late night flight.

Nellans' luggage went round and round the carousel after his flight landed at 11 p.m. Tuesday and was then inspected by airport personnel, who located the marijuana, according to an affidavit.
