Winter Weather Advisory: Snow Possible Across Middle Tennessee
The National Weather Service says Middle Tennesseans may wake up to a coating of snow Monday morning.

NASHVILLE, TN -- Winter isn't quite done with Middle Tennessee just yet.
The National Weather Service office in Old Hickory predicts much of Middle Tennessee could see, at least, a light coating of snow overnight Sunday into Monday. A winter weather advisory will be in effect from 10 p.m. Sunday to 7 a.m. Monday.
“Rain this evening will mix with snow, and change
over to all snow from the northwest through the southeast this evening and overnight. Snow accumulations of around an inch with some localized amounts up to 2 inches possible, especially north
of I-40 and west of I-65, if temperatures cool off sooner than
expected. Most of the advisory area is expected to see at least a
half inch of snow, which looks to impact the morning commute.
Bridges and overpasses will likely become slick, as well as any
untreated roads,” the weather service wrote.

Snow will begin falling as flurries in the northwest counties of Middle Tennessee around 10 p.m. By midnight, snow will be falling north of Interstate 40 and west of Interstate 65, with flakes spreading east of I-65 by 3 a.m., forecasters said.
Meteorologists emphasized that even within six hours of the event, confidence in accumulations is very low and changes may be made to the forecast throughout the day. Check back with Patch for updates.
