Teen Murder Suspect's Mom Arrested

The mother of an 18-year-old accused of murder is charged with hiding his car after the fatal shooting of a 16-year-old.

NASHVILLE, TN -- Detectives say the mother of an 18-year-old accused of shooting and killing another teenager hid her son's car after the murder.

Ykela Williams, 42, is charged as an accessory after the fact in Thursday night's murder of 16-year-old Laquan Link, who was shot dead outside of a house on Westchester Drive. Williams is the mother of Oshae Stewart, 18. Stewart and 15-year-old Treyvon Palmer are charged with murder.

Williams hid her son's 1996 Infiniti sedan on Nesbitt Lane after Link's death, according to investigators. Police found the car Friday evening and arrested Williams Friday night.

Stewart and Palmer surrendered separately Friday morning.

Police say none of the three defendants are cooperating with detectives; no motive has yet been determined.
