The SNAP/EBT system will be upgraded and the cards unavailable for nine hours from Saturday into Sunday morning, Tennessee officials say.

NASHVILLE, TN -- Upgrades to Tennessee's SNAP EBT/Quest card system will cause an outage, making the cards unusable for a brief period this weekend.
The state's Department of Human Services says the cards will be disabled system-wide between 11 p.m. Central time Saturday, Feb. 24 and 8 a.m. Sunday, Feb. 25.
The EBT card will not be available for purchases or for use in an ATM during that time.
