An argument at a Wendy's developed into a car chase, shooting and wreck on Interstate 40 Tuesday afternoon.

NASHVILLE, TN — Two men with a frosty relationship had beef at a North Nashville Wendy's that got Biggie-sized and turned into a car chase, shooting and wreck that snarled downtown traffic for hours Tuesday.
Metro Police were called to an accident near the Charlotte Avenue and Church Street exits on Interstate 40 east around 5:15 p.m. A man injured in the wreck told police he'd had an argument with another man at the Wendy's on Jefferson Street near John Merritt Boulevard and that as he left the restaurant, the other man began following him.

Once on I-40, the pursuer fired several shots at the victim's car, he told police, causing him to run off the road. He was, however, not hit by the bullets, though he did have minor injuries connected to the car accident.
The interstate was closed for nearly three hours during the investigation. Police did not have a suspect description available, though the shooter may be driving a white Altima.
