TSU Homecoming Shootings: Gunfire At Parade, Outside Stadium
Nissan Stadium was briefly on lockdown during TSU's homecoming game as shots were fired in the parking lot.

NASHVILLE, TN — Gunfire marred Tennessee State University's homecoming festivities, with shots fired during the parade and outside Nissan Stadium during the game itself.
Multiple people reported shots fired as the 12-block parade neared its ending near 26th Avenue and Jefferson Street around 11:30 a.m. Witnesses told police shots came from an alley or side street and that the shooters scattered — as did others — shortly thereafter. No one was injured.

Around 8:30 p.m., as the TSU Tigers were taking on Austin Peay inside Nissan Stadium, an altercation between two people in Lot B ended with gunfire, police said. No one was injured but nine cars were damaged. A suspect, Terron London, was apprehended by a bicycle officer and found with an AK-47 and a handgun, according to police. London was also wanted on outstanding domestic violence and vandalism warrants.
London, 22, is charged with weapons possession in addition to the earlier charges.
