Uber Driver Popped Pills To Stay Awake All Day: Police

A 46-year-old Uber driver told Metro Police he had taken Adderall to stay awake for 24 hours and also admitted to taking NyQuil and Xanax.

NASHVILLE, TN -- Metro Police arrested an Uber driver Sunday morning who reportedly admitted to being awake for 24 hours after taking Adderall, Xanax and NyQuil.

Crill Allison, 46, of Golf Club Lane, was driving 50 mph in a 30 mph on 21st Avenue South Sunday morning, police said. Allison was "lethargic" during his field sobriety test, according to an affidavit.

"He stated that he had been up for 24 hours working for Uber and had taken Adderall to stay awake," the officer wrote. "After being Mirandized the defendant admitted to being on Xanax and that he had taken NyQuil prior to our contact."

Allison, who has a previous DUI conviction, is charged with DUI - 2nd offense.
