WATCH: Hillside Avenue Burglar Caught On Camera
Metro Police are searching for a man who shoulder checked his way into a Hillside Avenue home Thursday.

NASHVILLE, TN — A burglar who bashed through the backdoor of a Hillside Avenue home was caught on camera Thursday and Metro Police are hoping it helps find the thief.
A surveillance system record a frankly rather tedious video of the crime that shows the man shoulder check his way into the home and, seemingly aware of the camera, turn his head and face away from the lens, while also, for some reason, tucking his arms inside his white t-shirt.

After he makes entry, the video unblinkingly records an empty living room while, presumably, the man rummages around upstairs. Two-plus minutes of what is essentially a still life are uninterrupted only by the presence of the family's cat running downstairs.
Eventually the man comes back downstairs and heads toward the camera, apparently in an attempt to disable it.
