Woman Revived By Narcan Assaults Officer: Nashville Police

A woman allegedly swallowed heroin, stuffed more in her navel, needed a Narcan revival and assaulted a Metro policeman.

NASHVILLE, TN -- A woman who'd allegedly swallowed heroin needed a Narcan revival and reportedly assaulted a Metro Police officer, trying to steal his gun.

According to an arrest report, a patrolling officer spotted 31-year-old Whitney Warren, who had outstanding warrants, outside an apartment complex near Dickerson Pike and Hart Lane. The officer said Warren ran when he approached and then became combative once he caught up to her.

He alleged Warren punched him in the head multiple times, cutting him and busting his lip. She also allegedly tried grabbing his gun from the holster.

Warren reportedly told the officer she'd swallowed some heroin and lost consciousness. She was revived with Narcan. According to her arrest report, she also had a half-gram of heroin hidden in her navel.
