Xfinity Launches New Channel Line-Up
The cable giant has re-aligned its high-definition line-up to group similar stations into "neighborhoods."

NASHVILLE, TN -- Cable provider Xfinity has re-aligned its channel line-up, grouping similar stations into what the giant is calling "neighborhoods."
The change only effects high-definition stations and groups the stations into categories. For example, all the news networks are now between 1100 and 1199 and all the kids and family channels are between 1650 and 1749.
The standard-definition channels - those between 1 and 999 - will not change and Xfinity said DVR recordings, favorites and parental controls will not need to be updated and that future recordings on the DVR should move automatically.
