The Great Houston Pie Run Returns November 22 - Where Dessert Comes First!
Houston Running Company is ringing in the start of the holiday season, while supporting three local nonprofits that serve the community.
Houston Running Company’s (HRC) beloved Great Houston Pie Run is back on Saturday, November 22, 2025, bringing together runners, walkers, and pie lovers for a morning of fun, fitness, and community spirit - while supporting three outstanding local charities.
Participants can choose from a half marathon, 10K, 5K, or family-friendly 1K, making this the perfect event for all ages and skill levels. This ‘sweet as pie’ event begins just north of the intersection of TC Jester and W 20th Street, where every participant can enjoy a refreshing beverage and a mini pie before taking off - because at this event, dessert comes first!

- Half Marathon: 7:00 a.m.
- 10K and 5K: 7:30 a.m.
- Awards Ceremony: 9:15 a.m.
- Family 1K: 9:30 a.m.
Awards will be presented to Overall Male and Female winners, Masters (40+), and Age Group champions across all distances.
“The Houston Pie Run gives people a sweet way to stay active before the holidays are upon us, while also bringing our community together in support of three great causes,” said Randi Schooley, HRC Co-Founder. “Whether you’ve been with us since the start, or are new to the event, I encouraged everyone to come out to make some memories with family and friends.”

Proceeds from the event will benefit:
- Ainsley’s Angels Southeast Texas - promoting inclusion in endurance events for individuals with disabilities.
- The Asher House Animal Sanctuary - rescuing and rehoming animals in need.
- LifeGift Organ Donation - supporting the gift of life through organ and tissue donation.
Ample on-site parking will be available, with event signage directing participants.
The Great Houston Pie Run is the eighth race in the Houston Running Company’s nine-event Holiday Series, which concludes with Houston’s 12K of Christmas on Saturday, December 20, 2025, at Sam Houston Park – so be sure to save the date!
