• Man charged with murder after targeted highway shooting claims life of pregnant woman (shorenewsnetwork.com) — Arlington police have arrested a 29-year-old man in connection with a targeted shooting on I-20 that killed 29-year-old Bre’Asia Johnson, who was pregnant, and injured her boyfriend. Two children in the car escaped serious injury, and investigators say phone records and surveillance footage link the suspect to the scene and the victims beforehand.
   

• Arlington family found guilty in $1.7M tax fraud case, federal officials say (dallasnews.com) — An Arlington-based family has been convicted in federal court for a large-scale tax fraud scheme involving false returns and misuse of trust filings, according to prosecutors. Jurors in Fort Worth found four men guilty of conspiring to defraud the government, with sentencing set for March. They face potential prison time for the conspiracy and multiple false-return charges.
   

• The Next Steven Spielberg Movie Has a Poster to Disclose (gizmodo.com) — Arlington gets a small but fun spotlight as one of just three cities where mysterious new posters for Steven Spielberg’s next sci‑fi movie have appeared, including one on East Randol Mill. The film, rumored to be titled “Disclosure,” remains tightly under wraps, but it’s slated for a June 12, 2026 release with a star-studded cast and John Williams returning as composer.
