  1. A 5th grade poet sprouted at Harmony Science Academy in Cedar Park! "Aerilyn McDonald authored and submitted a poem entitled 'Broken Wings' to a writing contest for students in Grade K-9 from Creative Communications. ... Out of more than 12,000 nationwide entries, her heartfelt poem was chosen to be published in the organization's poetry anthology, "Poetic Power."   2. The owner of Bent Oak Winery is moving the business to Cedar Park, after securing incentives for the city to help with the move. The inspiration came to John Catalano when he noticed that locals who love wineries would have to travel over an hour after consuming several glasses of wine.
