Cedar Park Parents Accused Of Hitting Son, 11, With Belt: Report

The 11-year-old boy reportedly had brusies and a bloody nose when he went to school.

CEDAR PARK, TX — Two Cedar Park parents are facing charges after they hit their 11-year-old son with a belt multiple times, The Austin-American Statesman reported, citing an arrest affidavit.

According to the report, the boy showed up to school with bruises. The boy's mother, Angela Duran, 33 and his stepfather, Eric Duran, 32, were charged with injury to a child. Eric Duran is accused of punching the child in the face, the Statesman reported.

The boy's teacher noticed that he had bruises and a bloody nose on April 4, according to the report.

The pair were released from the Williamson County jail on Tuesday.
