Conroe Man Charged with Torture, Sexual Abuse

CONROE, TX — Gregory Kocian has been arrested and is charged with beating and assaulting a woman for hours.

According to the Montgomery County Sheriff's Office, a woman residing in the 10600 block of Royal Adrian in Conroe heard her dogs barking incessantly on the morning of Wednesday, March 1, and when she went outside to check on them was struck in the back of her head.

She was rendered unconscious, and when she awoke was in her garage and bound by extension cords. Police officials said she identified her attacker as Kocian, whom she said was a family friend. She has accused him of sexually assaulting her for almost six hours, as well as cutting and beating her.

The woman told police officers that she made attempts to break free, which caused Kocian to increase his abuse. At some point on Wednesday morning, Kocian left the garage and the victim broke free and contacted the police department from a neighbor's house. She was taken to a hospital and treated for her injuries.

Kocian is being held at the Montgomery County Sheriff's Office with a $1,000,000 bond.
