Conroe Mom Arrested After Stashing Pot In Child's Backpack

CONROE, TX — A Conroe mom was arrested in an elementary school drop-off line after she allegedly stashed marijuana in her child's backpack, police said. Lexi Royse, 26, was arrested on March 22 after she sent her child into the elementary school with marijuana hidden in the backpack.

Montgomery County deputies had tried to pull Royse over for an unrelated traffic violation, but deputies said she refused to pull over and drove to the child's school.

Royse was arrested and charged with tampering with physical evidence, possession of marijuana and possession of a controlled substance in a drug-free zone.

Royse is in the Montgomery County Jail with bonds totaling $4,000.
