Conroe Officer Charged With Aggravated Assault Of Estranged Wife

CONROE, TX — A former Conroe Police officer is behind bars after he allegedly assaulted his estranged wife with a weapon, officials said in a press released on Thursday.
Gabriel Nasario Chavez, 31, who was terminated from the police department on Wednesday as a result of this incident, is charged with aggravated assault against a family member with a weapon, officials said.
Chavez, who has been with the department since July was arrested on a warrant by the officers from the Conroe Police Department and the Montgomery County Sheriff's Office.

Officials didn’t release any information about the alleged assault or when this allegedly happened. Chavez’s bond is set at $50,000.
