Conroe Patch's 2016 Holiday Event Guide
Not sure where to celebrate the holidays this season? There's something for everyone in Conroe, from Christmas concerts to holiday theatre.

CONROE, TX - 'Tis the season to celebrate, and in the spirit of giving, the Conroe-Montgomery County Patch offers readers a selection of family-friendly, holiday events happening throughout the month of December.
- Mingle and Jingle Holiday Party: The Mingle and Jingle holiday party benefits Children's Books on Wheels, a non-profit, mobile literacy organization that provides books, educational literature and community resources to Pre-K through 12th-grade students and their families. Happening Dec. 17 at 7:30 p.m., the event will feature food, dancing and live music by Evette Busby, Sam Brown, Ray Parsee and the Allstars Review. Attendees are encouraged to bring a book donation so as to save $5 off the admission fee.
- Montgomery County Choral Society Christmas Concert: The Montgomery County Choral Society is a nonprofit organization that brings choral music of the world to Montgomery County, and on Dec. 9 at 7:30 p.m., the group will host its annual Christmas concert. The concert will feature a new piece by Erik Esenvalds, called "Trinity Te Deum," performed by choir, brass, organ, harp and percussion. Choirs from area schools will join the MCCS for popular carols and an audience sing-along.
- Stage Right Presents Miracle on 34th Street: Stage Right, resident theatre company at the Crighton Theatre in downtown Conroe, has announced its 2016-2017 season of performances, kicking off with Miracle on 34th Street on Dec. 2. Shows are scheduled through Dec. 18 on Fridays and Saturdays at 8 p.m. and on Sundays at 2 p.m. Tickets are available for purchase.

- Santa Story Time: Children infant age to 6 years old are invited to join Conroe's Central Library, located at 104 I-45 North, on Dec. 7 from 10:30-11:30 a.m. Santa Claus will read his favorite holiday story and sit with children for a photograph to share with friends and family. The library will then open the program to craft creation, with light refreshments provided. All participating children must be accompanied by an adult caregiver.
- Conroe Christmas Celebration: The City of Conroe hosts a Christmas celebration Dec. 10 from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. Festivities will include rides, inflatables, face painters, snow hills and pictures with Santa Claus. The Conroe Kiwanis Club will hold its annual Christmas parade at 1 p.m. through downtown Conroe.
