Southern Empress sets sail for a New Year's Eve cruise on Dec. 31 from 9 p.m. to 12:30 a.m., Southern Empress's largest cruise of the year. The cost to attend is $88.50 per person, and reservations must be made in advance. The experience will encompass fireworks on Lake Conroe as attendees count down to 2017.
La Torretta's Lakeside Restaurant boasts a New Year's Eve prix fixe dinner menu of $95 per person, which includes entrance to the after party at Concierge Lounge with a DJ, food and two drink tickets per attendee. The restaurant will be offering three choices of seating: 5-7 p.m., 7-9 p.m. and 9 p.m. to midnight, with space limited. Reservations can be made through Open Table.

The Owen Theatre invites members of the Conroe community to grab their boogie boards and catch a wave to the theater for a night of nostalgic fun, featuring live music with the Beach Boys-style harmonies and classic rock sounds of The Coastliners, an area quartet that prides itself as Houston's version of the Beach Boys since 1964. Catered dinner will be served from 8-9 p.m., with music and dancing from 9:30 p.m. to 12:30 a.m. Cost of admission varies.

The Montgomery County Masquerade Ball promises the "most amazing New Year's Eve masquerade ball Montgomery County has ever seen," with funds to be donated to Orphan Care Solutions of Texas, a three-year-old, non-profit organization. The evening will be filled with an array of events, including—but not limited to—a comedy show, countdown party with DJ Orbit, midnight fireworks and a silent auction. A variety of packages are available, and tickets must be purchased in advance.
