Conroe SWAT Receives Donation of Helmet Upgrade Kits
A Conroe non-profit is donating helmet upgrade kits to Conroe PD's SWAT team.

CONROE, TX — In an effort to help keep police officers safer, a Conroe non-profit is donating kits used to upgrade combat helmets to the Montgomery County Sheriff's Office SWAT team.
The kits, which are a collection of seven pads, help keep a U.S. government issue combat helmet in place and reduce the chance of a bullet penetrating an officer's skull.
The SWAT team will receive 23 insert kits from Operation Helmet, a local non-profit who has donated over 80,000 kits to the U.S. military. Operation Helmet receives the kits at cost, $28, from the manufacturer.
