Ex-Priest Pleads Not Guilty In Conroe Sex Abuse Case

Manuel La Rosa-Lopez was in a Montgomery County courtroom on Monday where he entered a not guilty plea on two counts of child indecency.

CONROE, TX — Manuel La Rosa-Lopez, the former priest accused of sexually abusing three teens in the late 1990s and early 2000s while assigned to Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Conroe, appeared in court on Monday and entered a not guilty plea.

Earlier this month, a Montgomery County grand jury indicted the ex-priest on two counts of child indecency.

The indictment stems from his alleged abuse of a then 15-year-old girl in the late 90s, who accused La Rosa-Lopez of touching her breasts and kissing her.
