Farmers Get Free Workshop
Montgomery Count farmers and agricultural producers from the Houston area are invited to two free workshops.

Angleton, TX -- Good news for Montgomery County's 1,600 farms. The Houston-Galveston Area Council will hold two free workshops in Brazoria County for agricultural producers and Houston-area residents.
The workshops are designed to help the farmers and homeowners with maintenance and improvement goals. Both workshops will be held at the Brazoria County AgriLife Extension Offices, 21017 County Road 171, in Angleton
The first workshop will be Saturday, July 16, and will discuss septic systems. Participants will learn how to identify malfunctioning septic systems and other on-site sewage facilities.

Since replacing a septic system is an expensive endeavor, and home inspectors often don't have the expertise to inspect them, it's vital for a landowner to know how to inspect one.

Agricultural producers are also invited to attend the Growing Green workshop on Saturday, July 23.
The workshop will allow area farmers and ranchers to meet with state and local agricultural groups and find out about voluntary financial incentives and technical assistance programs designed improve agricultural production or improve agricultural properties.
