1 Killed, 2 Injured In Helicopter Crash Near Montgomery: Reports
Texas DPS officials and Montgomery County deputies are investigating a helicopter crash at FM 149 and Bethel Road.

MONTGOMERY, TX — Investigators with the Texas Department of Public Safety confirmed that one person was killed in a helicopter crash in Montgomery County Wednesday afternoon. The crash was reported shortly before 3 p.m. in the area of Bethel Road and FM 149 in Montgomery.
Officials said there were two other people on board the aircraft at the time of the crash. Both were taken to Conroe Regional Medical Center and are listed in stable condition, officials said.
DPS investigators and a 2009 Eurocopter AS 350 crashed in the Sam Houston National Forest during a controlled burn operation.

The Texas DPS and the Montgomery County Sheriff's Office are at the scene, and awaiting officials from the FAA who will determine the cause of the crash.
