High School Football Area Playoffs: Who Will Willis Play?
Willis advanced to the area round of the Class 6A Division II football playoffs. Who will each play in the second round?
WILLIS, TX — Willis High School advanced to the second round of the the UIL Class 6A Division II football playoffs last week.
Willis (6-5) squeaked into the playoffs as the fourth-place team in District 13-6A, and defeated Dekaney 22-14 in the bi-district round. The Wildkats will face Tomball (8-3) in the area round at Spring's Planet Ford Stadium at 7 p.m. Friday. Willis fell to Tomball 40-27 in the season opener this year.
Fifth-ranked Rockwall Heath lurks for the Wildkats as the winner of Friday's game will play the winner of Heath and Temple in the regional round.

Predictions: Three of Dave Campbell's experts picked Heath to get out of Region II, while Greg Tepper picked Cy Park, which was upset by Tomball in the first round last week.
Willis historical perspective: Last week's win over Dekaney was the Wildkats' sixth playoff victory in program history. With a win over Tomball, Willis would advance to the third round for the first time since 1994.
