Montgomery County Gets Extension on Auto Theft Grant
Montgomery County received a one-year extension on a grant to combat auto theft and auto burglary.
CONROE, TX — The Montgomery County Auto Theft Task Force was selected by the Texas Autho Burglary and Theft Prevention Authority for grant extension.
The task force will receive $389,892 from the authority to continue financing vehicle protection measures in Montgomery County for the 2016-2017 fiscal year. The fiscal year runs from Sept. 1, 2016 to Aug. 31, 2017.
The funds will be used for various costs related to keeping officers in the field, including salaries, supplies and travel.
