Montgomery County Sheriff's Office Awarded NRA Training Grant

The NRA Foundation provided funding in the amount of $3,710 for the purchase of valuable law enforcement training equipment, officials said.

CONROE, TX — The Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office announce this week that the county was awarded valuable training equipment as a result of an NRA Foundation grant.

The grant provided five simunition rifle training bolts, and five Glock simunition conversion kits, officials said in a press release.

The equipment will help provide reality-based training scenarios for deputies by using non-lethal marking cartridges.

The grant was approved by the NRA Foundation Board of Trustees in April 2019. The NRA Foundation provided funding in the amount of $3,710 for the purchase of the equipment to be utilized for training.

Sheriff Rand Henderson said, “Realistic and effective training is a must in law enforcement and we greatly appreciate the support of the NRA Foundation.”
