Notes Of Love To Be Left At Willis Soldier's New Home

The Willis community is invited to leave notes of love and inspiration for Sgt. Roland Sengstock and his family on Tuesday from 9 a.m. -noon

WILLIS, TX — The Willis community is invited to share their words of inspiration, and notes of love and support for the family of a former U.S. Army soldier who was awarded a mortgage-free home.

Operation FINALLY HOME along with Century Communities, The Howard Hughes Corporation, Greater Houston Builders Association (GHBA) and the Houston Texans invite the local community to come out and write inspirational words of support and encouragement on the studs of the unfinished home of U.S. Army Sgt. Roland Sengstock on Tuesday.

The event takes place from 9 a.m. until noon at the entrance to The Woodlands Hills, just off of FM 830.

The Sengstock family will arrive at the home site at about noon to read those inspirational notes welcoming them to their new home.

Sengstock and his family were surprised with the news that they were receiving a mortgage-free home during a Houston Texans game last December.

The groundbreaking was held March 21. When the home is completed, a special dedication ceremony will be held for the family to receive their keys and view their completed home for the first time.

Sengstock, who now works as a security guard, was hbo9norably discharged from the U.S. Army in 2010.
