Texas, OU To SEC? Schools Reach Out About Joining: Report
A Houston Chronicle report cites a high-ranking college official saying Texas and Oklahoma reached out to the conference about joining.

HOOVER, AL — Aggies and Longhorns in Montgomery County might end up rekindling their legendary rivalry after all.
Officials from the University of Texas and University of Oklahoma have reached out to the Southeastern Conference about potentially joining the league, according to a report by the Houston Chronicle's Brent Zwerneman.
The report cited a high-ranking college official with knowledge of the situation.

Texas A&M left the Big 12 for the SEC in July 2012, and the Aggies and Longhorns haven't played in football since, leaving the rivalry at 118 games played. The teams played every year from 1915 to 2011.
When asked Wednesday in Hoover, Alabama, at SEC Media Days about the report about the Longhorns and Sooners reaching out to ask about membership, A&M head football coach Jimbo Fisher quipped "I bet they would."

When asked if he has a comment on the report of Texas and Oklahoma wanting to join the SEC, A&M head coach Jimbo Fisher said. "I bet they would," he said with a laugh.
