Here are the top three stories today in Corpus Christi:
- A man has been found guilty in the 2021 kidnapping of his estranged wife and child, which resulted in an armed stand-off at a Corpus Christi restaurant. Joshua Anthony Wallin was arrested on Jun. 24, 2021, after taking his child hostage inside a Jalisco's. Wallin faces up to life in prison for the incident. (KIIITV.com)
- Developers say the new Coastal Bend Food Bank warehouse facility is roughly 70 percent complete. The new facility will be around 108,000 square feet, offering additional storage space for food supplies. The location is expected to soft-open in October. (KIIITV.com)
- The University of Texas Marine Science Institute has reopened in nearby Port Aransas. Visitors can experience a variety of electronic exhibits and kid-friendly displays featuring lessons about coastal plant and animal life in the region. The remodeled facility also features eight aquarium displays offering up-close views of aquatic life. (101 Corpus Christi)
