2023 Mayor's Back to School Fair set to take place early August
Mayor's Back to School Fair event is taking place early next month and will provide assistance to parents of students

Dallas - As summer vacation draws to a close, parents across North Texas, particularly in the Dallas-Fort Worth region, are hard at work getting their children ready for the upcoming school year, Dallas Metro News reported.
The 2023 Mayor's Back to School Fair, scheduled for August 4th, provides a much-needed helping hand to students and families by offering free school supplies. This praiseworthy project comes to life thanks to the combined efforts of the Dallas Independent School District (ISD), the City of Dallas, various business corporations, non-profit groups, and a devoted assembly of volunteers.
As per the information on the official website of the fundraising initiative, only families living in Dallas or those with children enrolled in a Dallas ISD institution qualify for this assistance.

To confirm their eligibility, families are required to show a valid photo ID, along with proof of residence in the Dallas city area. Valid proofs can range from a utility bill or a rent or mortgage statement. Moreover, the submitted documents must verify that the family's income is under the federal poverty line for 2023.
The official website further states that students from other schools within the City of Dallas who are experiencing similar financial hardship are also eligible. Families hoping to avail this assistance can speed up their application process by pre-registering for the event on the website.
