  1. If one of your New Years resolutions was to see more theater, you're in luck. The Dallas-Fort Worth theater scene has plenty of new performances planned for 2023. The schedule includes classics like "I Love You, You're Perfect, Now Change" and "Cabaret." You can also bring the kids along to fun performances of "The Lion King" and "Don't Let the Pigeon Drive the Bus." (CultureMap Dallas)
  2. There are a lot of new restaurants opening in and around Dallas, and one of the first launched just this weekend. Quarter Ace opened quietly on Greenville Avenue, headed by local chef Toby Archibald. The menu will feature contemporary global cuisine with an emphasis on local produce. There will be a focus on Australian and New Zealand cuisine, in honor of Archibald's roots. (CultureMap Dallas)
  3. The 39th annual KidFilm Festival is scheduled to arrive in Texas starting Jan. 21. The festival will feature a salute to beloved children's authors and readings from their books. Free copies will be available to families, and you can even get a signed copy! There will also be screenings of classic films like "The Wizard of Oz." (USA Film Festival)
