- A shooting outside a north Dallas apartment complex has left three people dead and two others wounded during the early hours of Friday morning. Officers responded to the complex’s parking lot where they found two men and a woman dead. One of the two survivors is in critical condition at the hospital as of Friday afternoon. The investigation is ongoing. (Spectrum Local News)
- Eric Huss, a Dallas native and Army hockey player, suffered a severe neck injury during a game on Thursday. The junior was playing during the game at Sacred Heart in Bridgeport, Connecticut, when he caught an ice skate to his neck during the second period. Huss had surgery and was expected to return to the campus at West Point this week. (Subscription: The Dallas Morning News)
- Michael Halla, a 52-year-old North Texas attorney, is facing manslaughter charges for the deaths of a father and five-year-old son. The contracted attorney for Ferris, a city in Dallas and Ellis counties, is charged with two counts of manslaughter after he hit the father and son while driving a Ford Explorer, according to a press release. The fatal Nov. 15, 2021 crash also found Halla was driving “recklessly.” (Subscription: The Dallas Morning News)
