Dallas is 2023 Smart 50 Awards winner
The city of Dallas has been bestowed with the highest honor at the 2023 Smart 50 Awards by Smart Cities Connect.

Dallas - Dallas has achieved recognition with the prestigious 2023 Smart 50 Award, Dallas Metro News reported. The award celebrates the city's groundbreaking Red Cloud Neighborhood Smart Cities Pilot Project, marking a milestone as the inaugural smart community in Southeast Dallas.
The Smart 50 Award is a testament to cities that embrace progressive projects for constructing intelligent urban infrastructure.
The Red Cloud neighborhood is a prime example of this, where residences are equipped with complimentary Wi-Fi, cutting-edge air quality monitoring devices, and AI-powered situational awareness cameras installed at key points. These devices are linked to LED streetlights that also function as wireless access nodes, forming a strategically managed lighting grid.
