Here are the top three stories in Dallas today:
- Dallas is facing a lawsuit due to its panhandling ordinance. The city is being sued over an ordinance which was passed in October of 2022 dictating that people cannot walk or stand on medians. The Texas Civil Rights Project claims the ordinance violates constitutional rights and is targeted against unsheltered residents of Dallas. (FOX 4 News Dallas-Fort Worth)
- Want to be a part of the "Yellowstone" television show universe? Residents from Dallas-Fort Worth are wanted to audition for roles as extras in the new spinoff, titled "1883: The Bass Reeves Story." Legacy Casting is looking for people of all races and genders for roles as Union and Confederate soldiers. This is a paid opportunity. (CultureMap Dallas)
- The latest Dallas food trend is downsized delicacies. Restaurants are serving up small, bite-sized dishes to sample. The option is meant to be eaten by one person as a sort of tasting experience. Three restaurants that are excelling at this 'amuse-bouche'-style cuisine in Dallas are El Carlos Elegante, Quarter Acre, and Rye. These bite-sized dishes can either serve as a pre-appetizer experience, or you can order a bunch for a full meal. (D Magazine)
