A Day of Gratitude Planned for First Responders in Carrollton, Texas
Monday, October 28, 2024, is National First Responders Appreciation Day, and a local celebration is planned at Avenida Carrollton
First Responders Appreciation Day is Monday, October 28th
(Carrollton, TX) - At some point in pretty much everyone's life, they will come in contact with a first responder. A firefighter, police officers or EMT who rushes to their aid, or to the aid of someone they know.
Monday, October 28, 2024, is National First Responders Appreciation Day, a time to honor first responders nationwide. Locally, a day-long celebration will happen at Avenida Carrollton.

"We are planning a breakfast buffet from 8 a.m. - 10 a.m., followed by a lunch buffet from 11 a.m. - 2 p.m. First responders, and members of the public, are invited to participate in the event," said Tammie Moore, Community Manager for Avenida Carrollton. The 55+ active adult community is located at 1875 Arbor Creek Drive, Carrollton, TX 75010.
In addition to offering first responders complimentary breakfast and lunch, residents are looking forward to handing them the goodie bags they have lovingly prepared. Each bag includes a note of gratitude written by someone who lives at Avenida Carrollton.

"First Responders Appreciation Day is an event we look forward to every year at Greystar communities across the country," said Moore. This year's will be the first celebration at the apartment community, which just began welcoming residents in July 2024.
Members of the public, and all first responders who serve the local community, are invited to attend the free event. Those interested are asked to please R.S.V.P. by Thursday afternoon, October 24, 2024, by calling 972-236-5555.
