Here are the top three stories today in Dallas:

  1. Dallas is famous for its thriving food scene, and that includes bakeries that serve up brownies. The list at the link includes brownie shops throughout the area to help you find the perfect stop for chocolate confections. Whether you prefer crispy or fudgy brownies, you're sure to find something that makes your mouth water. (CW33 Dallas)
  2. The 2022 BMW Dallas Marathon Festival will take place this weekend. There will be road closures around the area, which you can track on the Waze app. You can also use the app to receive real-time updates on the race. The maps of the race include the half marathon, full marathon, and ultimate marathon. (runDallas)
  3. Dallas Animal Services and Adoption Center is looking for homes for some of their dogs who have been at the shelter for quite a while. A large number of their dogs have been at the shelter for at least 90 days, if not longer. With that in mind, the organization is encouraging people in and around Dallas to consider adopting a rescue animal. Sometimes the dogs and cats who have been at the shelter the longest have the most love to give. (Dallas Animal Services and Adoption Center)
